On a similar note, last year Missouri was ranked #1 going into the final weekend of the season (Championship Saturday), lost to #9 Oklahoma in the Big 12 title game, fell to #7 and was shut out of the 10-spot BCS altogether because frankly, none of the bowls wanted them.

On another similar note, Texas got the Rose Bowl invite over Cal in 2004 primarily due to campaigning by Mack Brown.
As Mike Gundy would say, "Get your facts straight!"

LSU moved ahead of USC in 2003 because there was a different formula in place then, which took into account SOS. LSU won its conference championship which gave it the SOS edge it needed to move ahead. SOS has been eliminated as a factor, except for where it affects the computer polls.

As far as Florida and LSU examples go, as I already said, the SEC team will always get the bid over other teams with the same record, or even with one-less-loss.

And as far as last year and Missouri's case goes, the BCS can't take three Big12 teams. Oklahoma was an automatic bid, and the Orange Bowl went with 1-loss Kansas over 2-loss Missouri.

A lot has changed since Utah got shafted. Boise State made a statement for the little guys. People want to see the underdog get a chance.

But if you guys want to be taken seriously, you'd better start acting like you deserve to be taken seriously. You're not Sam Houston State - you're BYU. You've got a Heisman trophy winner and a friggin national title. Act like it.
Were the team you rooted for in a Non-BCS Conference, you might be able to relate.
