Temples that I have been in
The criteria that I used for this list is having participated in an ordinance(endowment, sealing, baptism) or witnessed a friend getting sealed or something along those lines. I did not count just visiting the outside and/or driving by one or even just visiting the visitors center.
Dallas Houston Jordan River Laie Hawai'i Los Angeles Manti Mount Timpanogas Nauvoo Oklahoma City Provo Salt Lake San Antonio

It was an interesting tour though. However, All of the $$ drop boxes situated throughout the building didn't do a whole lot to promote a reverent atmosphere. |

Been in:
Ogden Provo Salt Lake Jordan River Washington D.C. Tokyo Been to: Atlanta Hawaii Frankfurt Manti St. George Logan Las Vegas Nauvoo Seen from a distance: Bountiful Los Angeles Idaho Falls When Mrs. myboynoah and I starting see each other, she was not LDS. On a day trip to Atlanta while visiting her, I wanted to stop by the Atlanta Temple just to check it out, it being one of the few operating temples "back east" at the time. We found it and were disappointed that there was no visitor's center. As we sat there in the parking lot, the future Mrs. myboynoah naively suggested that she would wait in the car if I wanted to go in the temple to worship. I guess she thought it was just a matter of lighting a few candles and saying some prayers. Boy was she ever surprised a little over a year later when she took out her endowments and we were sealed in Utah.

Give 'em Hell, Cougars!!! Religion rises inevitably from our apprehension of our own death. To give meaning to meaninglessness is the endless quest of all religion. When death becomes the center of our consciousness, then religion authentically begins. Of all religions that I know, the one that most vehemently and persuasively defies and denies the reality of death is the original Mormonism of the Prophet, Seer and Revelator, Joseph Smith. |
