Makes you wonder alot about the 15 year old that has been missing for 4 plus years. What was going on during that time in regards to if he was ever left alone, or had a chance to escape or if he even wanted to.

We don't know the details, but there is probably little doubt that he had many many times where he was not watched and had the opportunity to get away. The problem, these abductors are such horrible people that he either broke the kids will or promised the kid that if he left, he would kill him and his family.

You are talking about kids and they are broken down and they believe that all hope is lost and it is futile to even try and get away because they will be caught. It says a lot about both kids to have survived this amount of time. Good for them and hopefully the guy never sees the light of day.

The lead article of FOX's web page is about how neighbors and co-workers describe this kidnapper as a normal guy. Here's an interesting quote from a handyman who worked in the same pizza shop as the kidnapper.

"If I had a daughter, I probably wouldn’t let her date him," conceded Wehrmeyer, a handyman who often made repairs in the pizza shop where "Devo" worked. "But there aren’t many pizza people I would let her date."

Funky Cougar is probably rolling over in his grave.

The article says the guy is 6'4" and more than 300 pounds. An imposing guy apparently. The kid was left home alone all the time. Sounds like a case where, like Elizabeth Smart, the kid ends up believing that escape attempts are futile.

How do your soulmates in Iraq make you feel today? I see there were more hangings and decapitatations yesterday.

They were given a fair trial and then sentenced. That sentence was carried out. Surely as an attorney you can appreciate that.

Decapitation was merciful for that guy. An instant death. I can't say the same for those that he tortured and murdered.

They were reportedly very fearful before they were killed. Such are those with guilty consciences.

Those truly penitent of murder would ask to be executed.

In the entire civilized world only this guy will vouch that they in fact received a fair trial.

You're saying they didn't?

I'm not a lawyer. Perhaps you can clue me in as to why it wasn't a fair trial. After all, there were no Mormons involved, right?
