Default Here we go again...

Yet another school teacher doing the big nasty with an underage student:

And the husband gets arrested for freaking out after catching them in flagrante delicto. Yes, pulling the gun was stupid, but you can't help but feel for the poor guy. I hope Judge Davis goes easy on him.

Burning their clothes was a nice touch.

Good thing he had a gun...he was just protecting his home and family....

I am sorry I don't feel much sympathy for him at all. His behavior was way out of line. Pulling a gun on your wife no matter how angry or betrayed you feel is psycopathic.

True. A sordid mess all the way around.

I read once that in Brazil you are allowed to kill your wife and her lover if you catch them in the act. I wonder if that is still a legal defense there.

Yes. I would expect rational, level-headed behavior in that situation.

It has been a long time, but I seem to recall from my Crim Law class that there was actually a common law defense IF you caught your wife messing around and then shot her or the lover. Any help on this one?

While I would not expect completely calm rational behavior I would expect a gun to remain in its place of storage. I stand by my statement that pulling a gun on your wife and teenage lover is psycopathic and deserves no sympathy.

The fact that he didn't shoot shows he wasn't psychopathic.
