If you're going to have a faith crisis, you might as well do it with a Playboy Playmate. Good job, Owen. Way to represent.

Maybe in addition to signing the honor code, athletes that go to BYU have to sign a "non-embarass BYU or the LDS church clause". An honor code type committee should be set up and if such ex-athlete is deemed to have embarassed or not represented well, he or she can be fined or sued due to breech of contract.

We should have such a clause the general membership signs prior to being baptized, but at least we could have a trial run with BYU athletes and see how it works out.

No, because then they'd have to shut down Cougarguard.

I don't think dating Brande Roderick is embarrassing to BYU.

I know. I am too predictable. I have just sat next to too many people in Priesthood meeting who think this way and I kept my mouth shut.

I guess I am making up for it on the boards.

I like how the article says Owen kept the HC while attending BYU, but also tried to avoid church as much as possible at the same time.

I knew Owen's gf in '97 at BYU. He did not keep the HC. She was hot too. Maybe not Brande Roderick hot, but not far from it either.

Will Owen possibly be ex'd, or is he considered so inactive that it is not appropriate to do?

another case of where the only people kicked out of the church are the ones that want to be there.

It's not worth the church's time to keep members from participating in church that aren't participating to begin with.
