I won't truly be happy until the bowl game
I want to see BYU beat a ranked opponent (outside of our conference). It's actually kind of boring to see BYU beat bad teams.
However Wyoming, AFA, Colo. St. may give us a run for our money. I hope not. |

We have pretty tough stretch coming up, i would say it is a notch below AZ, Tulsa, BC, however the way these teams are playing we may be in a for a dog fight or two. If we get through AF and Colo. St unscathed then i see us beating Wyoming in the short week, making short work of New Mexico and setting up the showdown with the Utes.

BYU will run the table with relative ease the rest of the season.
The surgical precision with which the offense carves people up is almost scary. The number of plays compared to the number of points scored is incredible. With the way they run and execute the offense I can truly say it nearly makes the stat of time of possession completely moot.

What is it about CSU that scares anybody right now? AF and Wyoming could possibly pull out a win, but CSU? C'mon people.

This is a bad conference and I am not saying that just because the Utes are tanking it and BYU is doing well. There was some hope for TCU but they have crashed and burned. BYU could have been that flagship team this year but its hard to get excited, nationwide, about a team that has lost 2 games already especially considering one of those losses being to Arizona.
The conference has no big wins and BYU is the best team in the conference and they should run the table...Wyoming could give them a game and the Utes will as well. Otherwise, BYU goes right on thru... |

to some degree the conference should be hoping that byu runs the table, just so someone ends up ranked.
Hopefully TCU can also run the table. Then it would be possible that two teams could be ranked . Both with two losses. |

We'll roll CSU and New Mexico.
Air Force, Wyoming and Utah could all be tough games. We should roll Utah, but given it's the rivalry game I'm not saying it will be a blowout yet.

Air Force 'should' have rolled SDSU. We 'should' have beaten UNLV and UNM in 2004. We 'should' have beaten Utah and TCU last year. We are definitely a better team, and I am thouroughly enjoying the season so far (save BC and Arizona... only mild enjoyment followed by great agony) and hope they can show up every week. They are capable and will be the favorite in every game here on out. That does not mean they will win out. That's why you play the game. Go Cougs! 10-2!!! |
