Interesting that Leinart is on that list...he was the supposed golden boy who allegedly would've gone #1 had he come out...interesting that a whopping 3 weeks into the season, he and Smith have apparently met the same fate.

There have been a number of disappointments this season...the Chargers, The Saints, Lingo's Fantasy Team, Reggie Bush, J.P. Losman...the list goes on and on.

Anyway, Smith sucks. Good college QB, couldn't make the leap. I'm willing to wager Beck has more success in his NFL career than Smith does when all is said and done.

I guess you can stand by that argument since you dropped him from your fantasy team...but if he sucked so bad, why draft him in the first place?

I was just trying to let you know that your hatred of all things Ute is beyond boring. Try something original. You couldn't even post that without stealing it from Indy (who probably hate the Utes more than you do).

I would really like to see Alex Smith do well in the NFL. He's one of the good guys in the league. It would also be nice for the 49ers to be relevant again.

Smith is several years younger and is a starter in the league, while Beck is a third string QB. I would take that bet any day.

Problem is, we won't know for sure who won for a few years, unless they're both out of the league sooner than we think.
