Default Man vs. Wild

This is now my favorite show on TV. That dude is pretty hardcore even if some of the stuff is edited and scripted. I want his knife.

It's like Survivorman if you ever saw that. Except this guy is named Bear and he was British Special Forces and summitted Everest. They drop him off all over the place and he has to get out. So far I have seen Alaska, Sierra Nevadas, Hawaii, some deserted island in the south pacific where he was dropped off 5 miles from shore, the Alps, and Moab. He eats pretty much everything from grubs, ants, maggots, water snake (live), all sorts of raw fish from trout to salmon.

They dropped him off in Moab without a mountain bike?

That is just downright inhuman.

I saw the one where they dropped him in the high rockies around the Canadian border... the whole time he was convinced that a Bear was chasing him and spent practically the whole time running.

I didn't finish it, but it was a pretty cool show.

I looked on the website, said it was on Discovery Friday nights.

Then I try to look it up on TIVO, nothing. I go to Discovery Fri night, and nothing.

What's up?

This guy is a trip.

Check out some of these clips. Good stuff. Eating live animals. Unique way of wetting his clothing. Jumping into icy water.

I have seen this show numerous times while on call and I love it! Once he was dumped off in the middle of Africa, the guy actually ate elephate crap and drank elephant urine to get the water from it. I would hate to be his cameraman! The stuff he teaches actually looks legit.
