I've been hearing this rumor that Fred Thompson is actually running for Paul Harvey's radio job, since it's a HUGE multi-million dollar gig (major operation with huge infrastructure for those little mini news stories Harvey does). Harvey is in his 90s, and Thompson already has a contract with ABC. I thought this was an interesting/crazy theory. I don't know know where this rumor is coming from, though.

I imagine there are easier ways for Fred to pick up Paul's gig. He did sub for him for several weeks this past spring.
