Default "It's morning in America"

famous words from Ronald Reagan.

Here we are in 2008, with a supposed game-changer president, who is practically saying "It's the end of America."

He will drag this country down with pessimistic rhetoric for his own political gain and agenda. Is this really what the country needs? A pessimist-in-chief?

Obama has never been through the fire. And to tell you the truth, it is not looking good, if we are going to have to depend on this rhetorician.

What would McCain be doing differently?

We have no politician to meet our problems of today.

If only Greg Mankiw ran for office . . .

Eliminate the payroll tax and replace it with an an increase in the gasoline tax. It would be start, followed by means-tested Social Security (no reason SU should be getting social security), raised the SS benefit age with automatic increases as life expectancy increases (like an inflationary factor), cost-benefit analysis in publicly paid for health care, and that would be an even better start.

But Landpoke, I mean Don Blankenship, would not countenance such an action, and neither would the blind whom they lead.

Oh, and please don't nationalize the banks. I own BofA shares (purchased just recently), and I'd like to see them spike in the next two or three years as we pull ourselves out of this thing.

I can sleep at night knowing that I didn't make the wrong choice for POTUS.

I'll be happy when he's out of the White House. Hopefully, Pelosi and Reid will be the first to get voted out with Obama following two very long years later. If they haven't destroyed the country before then, it will be a miracle.

Well that was gratuitous.

I was hoping you'd pop up . . . How are ya?

And by no means did I intend to imply you look like Blankenship.
