The long-white-boxer-poking-below-the-shorts look.

Also, the hands-in-pocket-scrunching-up-long-white-boxers-wanting-to-poke-below experience.

2. Lab research. There are a couple of food labs on campus that are always looking for subjects to test. They look for healthy, non-smokers who don't drink too much. Needless to say, at this campus, they're always desperate for subjects. I've made hundreds of dollars, and get free food, for doing these studies.

Anyone found similar, ancillary benefits to an LDS lifestyle?

Learning to manage time and money; learning to truly serve others; learning that you're word is a fair gauge of your integrity; learning to adapt to your companion's different if not flat out bizarre eccentricities - these are invaluable things I learned while on a mission.

Friends of mine who are no longer practicing Mormons and even one who has decided that the LDS church is the great and abominable church of the devil and everyone I know who is active or partially active all say that they are grateful to have served a mission - and nobody has regretted it - for the reasons stated above.

For the reasons I stated?

I didn't mention the dissemination of stories about Semitic blood in Apaches.

Constant questions from people when I first meet them has put me at ease in meeting new people.
