after the next debate.

Another mind-blowing move. I suspect he's not really going to boycott the debates, but maybe try to use this as a negotiating tactic to get the number reduced. And let's be honest, there are too many.

That said, Perry's rap is that he's bad in debates, so I can't figure how this "take my ball and go home" move is considered a good ploy by his PR folks.

Perry's team will generate a series of headlines over the next few weeks.

"Perry demands Romney release tax return"

"Perry attacks Romeny for...X"

"Perry questions Romney business deal"

and so forth. None of these things require any ability to communicate on this part. It's just feeding the news beast and creating headlines and distractions. That's how he operates.

When he is actually under the lights, you see how pathetic a person he is. How dumb and crass.

I hate to think America is so terrible a country that it deserves a president like Perry....I hold onto hope this will not happen.

Rick Perry said he is unsure whether he would skip any future scheduled debates.

"I don't know whether we're going to forgo any debates," the Texas governor said in a question-and-answer session with reporters at the New Hampshire Secretary of State's office, where he filed for that state's primary. "There are a lot of debates. Shoot I might be a good debater before this is all over.

"We haven't made any decisions about what we're gonna do."

5 of the top 6 headlines on politico.com right now are about Perry.

This is how the Perry machine works. Get the headlines out there. The average reader only takes in the headline. It has nothing to do with Perry the actual person. It's all about the political machine. Don't pull the curtain back, just repeat the talking points. Feed the media beast. Refuse to debate until Romney releases his tax returns. Stuff like that.

All of this and Perry is polling under Ron Paul, as Tex points out.

Romney will need to be more pro-active (the rest of the candidates as well) to start creating headlines that favor him/them.
