Once again, what's "good for the ecosystem" is moot. If a particular animal or plant or rock or whatever has no practical value to man then it is useless and does not deserve protection. As long as it isn't harmful to the useful animals and plants than there's no need to destroy it. Once it interferes with man's useful plants and animals it needs to be eliminated.

Well they do play with the deer on the range, how bad can they be?

I do not know but predators are mostly grizzle and muscle, not tasty. I generally like predators and believe we should release them in DC without regard to numbers. Of course, they might be consumed by sharks there.

What I do despise, however, is hypocrisy and I believe it's the height of hypocrisy to pretend humans, at a base level, care about anything other than themselves.
