I know it makes Cougar fans feel good about ourselves to diss on Kessman now. But isn't it too early to label him as a bust and be glad to have him off the team. It makes me look smart because I raised questions about his speed, height, and pudginess. But there were some glowing reports out of fall practice about him and as a true frosh, that's at least an indication that he might have helped us down the road.

It is never good to screw up in recruiting. It is a better situation that the kid voluntarily left and is not dead weight for 4 years. However, the nature of his bad experience and him not being LDS make this a net loss anyway one chooses to look at it. We wasted a scholarship and probably sullied the University's reputation in the eyes of some and that is never helpful.

However, BYU shall overcome.
