If he didn't have daddy to pick him up and Norm to run the offense, everyone would be saying that this had the making of a total and complete cluster**** for USC.
This article seems to indicate that Kiffin is a great hire for SC. Not so much for Tennessee.

I'm not sure I should be offended by this. Why did you leave Whit out? Because his name doesn't begin with P? But it is a disparaging comment. On the other hand, I can anticipate your views about whether Whit could have assembled a first rate staff. So I guess I am offended, unless you were going for a PP chiasmic effect, in which case it's cool.

Oh, I'm sorry....you two already know each other!
Umm, no, the two coaches who left their teams in the lurch recently did not leave a COLLEGE team. Those two were Saban and Petrino. They both left ****NFL***** teams.

You didn't specify the parameters so specifically. Why the all caps? And all the asterisks?

The point being is that it is a good hire, esp with the staff he is bringing in. In the past day, Ed O has received re-commits from several top recruits, putting SC in place to still finish with a Top 5-7 class, maybe better. And the world is a better place in which to live when SC is doing well.

Mostly because the W would have ruined the alliteration. I would have included Whit had Ty Willingham also been a viable candidate for the position.

Literary devices aside, Whit would not have been able to assemble a comparable staff, either.
