This woman is afraid of her wholly undisciplined 13-year-old teenager, and is considering "dropping him off" under the Safe Haven law.

She says he stalks, steals, smokes marijuana, "acts out" sexually, abuses a younger sibling, and her solution is to show him a news report of another woman who drove from Georgia to Nebraska to drop off her child.

"And I told him, 'That's how I feel. The hospital is right around the corner, and I could just jump in the car and go drop you off. That's how much I'm fed up. I don't know what else to do,'" she said. "And he sat there, and he just looked at the floor."

But she's afraid to drop him off because ...

Yeah, we wouldn't want him in a home where he's not loved.

If you yell at them and they don't stop acting out, what are you supposed to do?

Aren't there some tough love programs that could help this teen? Juvenile detention seems like the next stop if not. If I was the parent of the handicapped child he beat up, I would have pressed charges. It seems like it's only a matter of time.
