UNLV beat Arizona by 30. What idiots favored Arizona over Utah, and Arizona lost in the first round of their conference tourney. Now, watch the Utes make idiots of me, but I don't see the Utes losing against the Cats.

Dipshit, we all know Utah isn't 5 seed good. Utah's 5 seed is total high school election stuff. But it's cool to have that going for you. I've seen Arizona play live this year and I can see why the experts pick Arizona. They have a big guy who's total NBA material, and several othre studs. Arizona is like Georgetown this year, loaded with talent and underachieving in a tough environment.
What this means is Utah is virtual BCS. BYU, on the other hand, is like Utah State; outside the cliques that count. BYU has no cool points.

I'm just saying that the upset here is if Utah beats Arizona.
I've not seen Utah play, nor Arizona, so I can't comment on their relative merits other than what the bookies say, and what the seeding says. The seeding says Utah should win. The bookies say Az should win. |

I think it's pretty funny that Arizona is favored as well, especially because if there is one team that doesn't deserve to be in the tournament, it's Arizona. It tells me that the experts give the benefit of the doubt to the BCS conferences as a result of bias.
I believe the Utes are seeded higher than they should be. If I had done the seeding, I would have put Utah at a 7 or 8.

I understand that they rewarded AZ for a tough non-conf, when a lot of other teams did not schedule jack.

That's what they say they did. Of course, they ignored the other factors like finishing the season 1-6, record away from home, etc.

Lots of pundits are picking Arizona. I'm guessing that because most of these experts, like Digger Phelps, have not seen Utah play this year and it's only obvious (to them) that the PAC-10 is a better conference.

To me, Utah winning is a big no brainer. BYU losing is also a no brainer.
