Default Doctors Without Borders

Last Thurs. went to a recruitment mtg, got to hear what they were about, what it takes to join them etc.

They had set up a mock refugee camp, where you could visit and take a tour. The family did that today, and it was very instructive and interesting.

For those of you with some relevant expertise, and who need a mid-career break, looks pretty awesome. Also good for those that have retired.

I don't know if there is a role for those that are lawyer/authors without an interest in going on a Mormon mission....

I wonder how a Bishop would take that. "Sorry can't do the temple mission, I'm going to Sudan to help starving people!"

But seriously, looks like a great organization. We bought two t-shirts today, so we are going to be advertising their cause.

There is a group called "Engineers Without Borders" and I have heard great things about them and I know people who have worked with them. I wonder if the two groups are related.

There's a "Mathematicians Without Borders", but it's really just a rag-tag group of geeks running around with unbounded solutions on 3x5 cards.
