Default Who do you consider to be the MVP for the game last weekend?

Beck was solid throughout. There were only a couple of passes that I thought were very poor judgement, the INT included.

Receivers were decent, but no one stood out IMO.

My vote is for Curtis Brown, and I say that knowing that cougarmom probably does not frequent this site. He was very solid on the ground and catching the ball out of the backfield. Probably had the play of the day (along with Matt Allen's huge touchdown) on the final drive to keep it going. He was hitting all of the holes and showed good patience in waiting for his blocks. Very encouraging for me to see him this weekend.

Doesn't Luettgerodt seem to always be around on plays like that? Wasn't he the one that caused the TCU fumble, too?

I wish he was only a junior this year. I'd love to see him another season.

Yes, I was getting ready to get up and turn the TV off if they had scored. I too think that the fumble was the turning point of the game. Had they not fumbled the game was over.

Now, I've been sucked right back into the gleeful (sp) world of Cougar Football. What a miserable cycle it has been lately.

The fumble was certainly pivotal but it wasn't the sole reason for the win. The fumble did not automaticaly grant BYU 2 long 4th quarter touchdown drives. It just opened the door.

One thing is for certain; I would much rather be discussing how the other team fumbled in a critical situation then how the cougars fumbled with the game on the line(see the UNLV game mentioned above).

The team wins who doen't make those critical mistakes.

I would give it to Beck ... and I'm no fan of Beck. he did step up and hit his recievers, threw a more accurate ball and was the difference in the game -his play opened up the running game, the play calling was not significantly different than the last games.
