This was on the local news this morning. Caltech is sending over about 10 folks, including 2 from OC.
One of them explained that if there were any danger, it would be the formation of a black hole that would develop and temporarily swallow up part of the Earth. However, it would not last, so there is no global danger. Since they are conducting this experiment in Switzerland, I am not too worried about it.
