Default Can't get into Radiohead

My tastes are more into 80's alternative but also classic rock of course. Some bands I've liked recently are Coldplay and The Killers maybe Maroon 5, Keane, James Blunt. I don't know much about Radiohead but I was told to give them a try, that it would be up my alley. I feel like I gave them a fair chance, but I just can't stand them.

Keep trying.

Also, ditch Maroon 5, James Blunt, and for the most part, Coldplay.

Start with the Bends, then move forward....OK Computer, Kid A, Amnesiac, Hail to the thief, In Rainbows.

Dont worry about Pablo Honey so much.

Don't listen to Rocky. He watches American Idol every week.

Radiohead is the sushi of music.

People pretend to like it because they think it makes them more hip, higher class and evolved.

I truly crave sushi at times but I doubt I would want it every day.

There is nothing hip about liking radiohead anymore. That ship sailed about 6 years ago. if it is being discussed on cougarboard as a recurring topic, it has lost its edge already.

The person who listens to radiohead these days to be cool is also still wearing a Von Dutch trucker cap or checkered Vans slip ons...nice try, but too late.

For the record: I gave Radiohead the good ol' fashoined try myself.

Listening to all of their albums twice.

Sometimes after first listening to a sound or a style I don't like it, but if you continue to listen it will begin to grow on you and I figured Radiohead would grow on me, and maybe that will still end up being the case, but so far their bizarre and odd sound irritates me more than anything.

I'm willing to give them a try again, but I'm sure just like all the times I've tried sushi (because certain person says..."well you just haven't tried it with me or tried the right thing, so I try again) that it'll still suck.
