Default Will Ferrell vs Bill Walton in Horse

Ferrell has a nice shot. Walton, not so much.

Wasn't Walton destined to become the greatest basketball player ever before his injury shortened his career? Maybe he doesn't shoot around anymore.

Well he's certainly a pompous ass, but I seem to remember him being far and away the most promising player in the league, before his career was shortened. It's a shame he got into broadcasting, as I imagine he'd be talked about more fondly if we didn't have a window into his personality.

It wasn't just Walton thinking this. Lots and lots of so-called experts were saying it as well. The guy could flat out play.

You young ones kill me. Walton was always oncsidered a great player. He won a championship, for cryin' out loud, with bad wheels. He was also polarizing. He was a political acitvist and there was a famous piece on him in Time magazine describing how he used to answer the phone with "impeach Nixon" instead of Hello. Naturally, this made him an enemy of all Utah mormons, and others who loved the country. There is little question that Walton was a great player whose promise was cut short by his injuries. He was alos an odd duck who made many people angry.

Guys, guys, guys. Of course I know Walton was one of the greats. I was just pointing out that he'd be the first to tell you about it.
