Default Joseph Smith DNA

This is pretty interesting:

Looks like JS was more Irish than English. But what I found more intriguing was the discussion of identifying JS descendents via DNA. Sorry SU, but it looks like your homegirl Brodie whiffed on a few of her predictions re: JS illegitimate kids.

What? No genetic links to Joseph of Coat of Many Colors fame?

It is very interesting.

SU response: What can we expect from a Mormon apologist?

Religion rises inevitably from our apprehension of our own death. To give meaning to meaninglessness is the endless quest of all religion. When death becomes the center of our consciousness, then religion authentically begins. Of all religions that I know, the one that most vehemently and persuasively defies and denies the reality of death is the original Mormonism of the Prophet, Seer and Revelator, Joseph Smith.

Marker M222 is the technical term for "believing blood."

Mormon Times is not really apologetics. It has no pretense that it's anything other than a cheerleader and a pamphlet. It's somewaht more honest than FAIR and FARMS.

They're attacking about five lines of Fawn's book that were couched as speculation.

Please forgive.

You just can't admit when you're wrong, even if it's something as minor as this, can you?

I'm surprised that Mormontimes would be so straightforward about JS's polygamy. It must be becoming a more mainstream topic.
