Grinding the Senate to a halt in an effort to open more public lands to oil drilling (offshore and ANWR). Accordingly, solar and wind energy tax breaks will expire; new child pornography laws will not be passed . . . Idiots. If the Republicans knew what was good for them, they'd grind the Senate to a halt over judicial nominations to get a last few judges confirmed to the federal bench. They're going to lose on offshore drilling and ANWR. Idiots.

Harry Reid is majority leader. Why can't he just make the decision to not take a vacation and have the Senate stay in session in order to do anything?
