Yes, those with the most skin in the game should have a large say. But what's ironic is that the wolf has its entire skin in the game; so do recreationists; conservationists; outdoors enthusiasts . . .

It is just so typical for you all to say your skins are the only ones in the game.

How does grazing prevent outdoor enthusiasts from hiking, camping and walking through them?

So you believe a rancher eeking out a living is less desirable than an overweight, fat dude from L.A. on ATVs driving roughshod over the landscape?

Speaking as one who is overweight, can you please avoid the redundancy? An overweight fat dude? IS that really necessary? You are hurting my self-image.

Recreational ATV riders are much worse than ranchers; but they should have a say in how the land is managed too.

Grazing doesn't prevent outdoor enthusiasts or hunters from enjoying the land; but it doesn't enhance the experience either.

And the fundamental principle for me is striking a balance for the health of the land.

Right now, there is no balance.

I said "etal" which encompasses the above. Well except the wolves which have no right to a voice in the matter.

Then let's have a freakin' cow hunting season. The price of putting your cows on BLM is that each hunter gets to bag one.

I just returned from a vacation during which I drove through the National Grasslands. I saw cows grazing. I saw wild horses grazing. I saw antelope grazing. I saw buffalo grazing. I saw no damage to the land.

Of the above animals, there were only fewer horses than cows. There were more buffalo than cows. And the antelope numbers were astonishing. I'd guess that there were more than double of horses, cows and buffalo combined in the number of antelope.

Based on my sampling, buffalo and antelope are more of a threat to federal land than cows.

If the wolves aren't going to do their job of thinning the herds to protect the federal lands, get rid of 'em.
