SeattleUte made a keen insight awhile back.....he noted how mikewaters loves posting links that do not support his contentions, likely banking on the fact that most people won't read them.

The actual article mikewaters provided plainly contradicts his premise....per the article, world oil demand is actually going to rise, not fall.

now mikewaters is backpeddling again, asking for links. LOL.

71, I haven't heard that Bush's actions or statements led to a fall in oil. Can you provide me with a news report that asserts this?

mikewaters, why don't you write a letter to OPEC and complain about gas prices and ethical violations? I will get it notarized for you.

I heard the report on the radio. I don't know if the copy on the radio was misleading as I remembered it as saying OPEC reporting decreased demand for oil in 2009.

The media often gets it wrong, or is misleading, as is human memory for a worthless trinket of info.

The fact is that you two do (or did) this for a living, and were ignorant about it.

And yes, it is widely reported that the OPEC report led to a fall in oil prices.

He's still working on that indignant email to Millet.

Thank you for admitting that I was right and you were wrong.

LOL.

That's ok. You makes the news yourself, even if no one agrees with you.

Is the fact oil prices started falling right after Bush lifted the drilling ban just a coincedence?
No, it shows that the price of gas is also influenced by speculators. Or it could be a coincidence.
