Default Is Mother's Day a religious holiday?

I say no. It should not be the topic of my sacrament meeting each year on that day.

discuss.

That would be nice. I would prefer to talk about something else this Sunday.

Yes, but I'm seeking to find some sort of different angle to take on this topic. I think I'm going to go with the fire and brimstone angle of relating a whole bunch of bad examples of motherhood and warning the members that if they are doing the same thing they will burn with a fervent heat.

I'm pretty sure that talk hasn't been given recently.

No, just picking another angle is such a cliche. You'd have to pick something totally unrelated. Talk about the word of wisdom or tithing or something. Don't even mention it.

Your funny little example is what many mothers are likely to hear anyway--that they aren't doing a good enough job.

That should turn some heads.

This made me laugh out loud. You ought to sneak a listen to the next General Priesthood session.
