Default One word about discussing cougarboard...

For those of you that either never were participants on CB or are recent participants.....I think a lot of the talk and complaining about CB is actually a method of mourning for us.

Some of us invested a lot of time and effort on that site, and made many friends (luckily most of my friends are here on this site). Obviously CB in 2001 was much different than it is now. Many more people, much faster. Leaving CB is kind of leaving the hometown you grew up in (or for some of us, getting kicked out of our hometown by the end of a boot).

It's natural to go through a period of morning. Denial, anger, guilt, acceptance, etc. Has it been a week for me yet off CB? I don't really miss it right now.

If all I cared about was this site and the people here, I would have abandoned CB long ago. But the fact is the CB community, after all that time, meant something to me.

Part of growing up however is leaving the past behind. Time to love the one you are with.

Odd that I rarely post about CB.

Hmm.
