kookoo for cocoa puffs. I'm surprised you posted this, however, as it provides another example of his tendency to avoid reality in favor of his preconceived notions.

I'm sorry, why are you surprised I posted this? Do you think I'm a Huckabee supporter?

No, just that you disputed that his creationism was relevant to his platform. This video doesn't prove either way, but it seems to suggest that his willingness to attribute the mundane to the divine (or to ignore evidence in favor of his own opinions) extends beyond creation.

Hmm, it's all about that elusive "line." I don't have a problem with a candidate thanking God for his successes (ala Austin Collie). That shows a little humility.

Huckabee's answer was not humble (though he tried to make it sound so), it was pompous.

Indeed. His response was certainly not thankful or just simple gratitude. It was out-and-out attribution. "Jesus likes me better than the other candidates, so he arranged for more people to choose me in the latest polls."

Wow...just wow. This guy is scary. People griped about the GW Bush White House being too Christian, and Bush claiming some sort of divine guidance. A Huckabee White House will make Bush's look like a bunch of Atheists.

To quote Jeff Lebowski, a Huckabee presidency would be a disaster.

Why isn't this getting any play in the media?

Can you imagine if Romney said such a thing?! He would be getting raked over the coals for it.
