Default I came across this about BSA

Because of the Boy Scouts continued policy of discrimination, we will no longer be supporting the Boy Scouts of America.

You can blame the IDIOTS at the
National Scouting Headquarters in Texas for this.

Feel free to call them at (972) 580-2000 to voice your
opinion of how they have ruined a great organization.

What's the story behind this? Who was the victim of discrimination?

I think the obvious conclusion is the policy not allowing out-of-the-closet danocondas.

That's what I was thinking.

This tech camp can do what they want, but I am always amazed that people gripe about the actions of a private entity. So the BSA doesn't want some folks of a particular persuasion to be involved - who cares?

I'd like to see the reaction if the BSA cried discrimination by this tech camp based on the BSA's policies. My guess is that it would fall on deaf ears by all but a few.

I think the point is the tech company that runs the website hosting the Tech Camp photos donated a bunch of equipment to the BSA Tech Camp and 1) felt unappreciated, and 2) will no longer give to the BSA because they disagree with BSA on the discrimination issue. Yeah, the BSA is a private entity and can set their policies, but at the same time one should allow the Tech Company that its their perogative to voice their opinion on their website.
