Also, if you kinda like Bollywood films and enjoyed Bend It, the music and color in Bride and Prejudice alone make it worth seeing. Same director I believe.

While I'm emasculating myself by recommending that, I may as well go ahead and also admit that Moulin Rouge makes my top ten, I weep at the end of every "Extreme Makeover: Home Edition" and I like the smelly soaps from Bath and Body Works.

Bride and Prejudice was a big disappointment to me. I heard such things, I was let down.

The American lead was very poor.

I used to like Hugh Grant romantic comedies before I went through reorientation training.

OhioBlue you really scare me in many ways. The worst part of it though is you like the smell of that crap from Bath and Body Works. Really how in the hell can you like that crap. I went into that store once to look for something my girlfriend wanted for Christmas, and had to leave after about 30 seconds in the store because I had a massive headache.

I came to find out that the stuff she wanted was at the Body Shop and that she hates the stuff at Bath and Body Works. Just another moment where I realized how lucky I am.

Foreign films for the most part are boring beyond words.

Yeah I know...the artsy fartsy types get all bent out of shape about that, but I don't care.

I quite liked Bride and Prejudice.

I also really liked Pride and Prejudice and should've added it to my list at the top.

That one and a lot of others of your list are movies I wouldn't think of as foreign films per se, but they are movies I like a lot, and that I own.

BTW, you have some sort of man-crush on Hugh Grant?
he happens to be the lead actor in a number of films I quite like.

El Mariachi

I've seen several at the Sundance Film Festival and in the Wilkinson Student Building over the years, but don't remember any titles.

ANythign with Hugh Grant doesn't count. It should be non-english language films I think. What's the difference between England and the USA when it comes to films? Is Monty Python REALLY a foreign film?

To add to the list:

Children of Heaven. (Iranian)

Jean de Florette/Manon des Sources
