I forgot to mention that this kid was left-handed. Having beat him with my left hand, I was pretty confident going in with my right hand (I am right-handed).

It's a great camp, probably the best scout camp I've been to as scout or leader. I'm not sure which council it is in though, we came down from the Bay Area. It's basically a Mormon run camp now. The camp director is a schoolteacher from Layton, Utah, and many of the counselors are recruited from his high school. Great counselors, cool kids who were good role models. I was really impressed.
