No facilities at all? .... That's managable for a dozen people, but for 150 that is crazy. At least there's a strong wind.

Surprisingly, I had a great time at the camporee. We camped away from the riff-raff, so it was quiet. The weather was spectacular. Low of 44, highs in the 60's. We had a great time during the competition. We were paired with the Spanish-speaking ward (due to our small numbers). We won the overall competition. And we also won the tug-of-war. I got the award for "best looking cobbler." Best tasting went to someone else. But everyone knows that best looking trumps best tasting. Anything else would be like picking a wife based on personality instead of looks. And that's crazy.

Now, I admit, winning a LDS camporee is a little bit like winning the Special Olympics. Something to be proud of, but it ain't the world's best athletes.

Our next campout is going to be our 1st annual "survival campout." I have a few plans for this, but need to come up with additional stuff to make it fun and challenging.
