Palin talking to "President Sarkozy." He tells her that he enjoyed her in Nailen Paylen and she says thanks. Sarkozy also claimed to be able to see Belgium from his house.

Her office issued a statement confirming the call.

It may be time for Palin to fire everyone around her and start fresh.

I saw this yesterday and was pretty disappointed. I don't care who supports whom, but this kind of thing is uncalled for.

I did like her official statement that she found the incident "mildly" amusing. I'm guessing that's an overstatement.

My question....how are these things not vetted thoroughly? How can you not figure out that President Sarkozy is not really trying to get in touch with you?

Palin's handlers are doing a mediocre job, at best.

Absolutely.

I mean, if a bunch of newsstation staff lost their jobs just over letting the Borat guy slip through the cracks, you'd think the entire Palin staff would get axed. Unless of course it was actually the McCain staff, and they allowed it deliberately.
