He's a bigot against sociology majors.

When I was in college it was my observation that the Psych majors seemed to have the most problems, as if they were trying to figure out what was wrong with them. Sadly I've passed this bigotry onto my children. My daughter is confirming my conclusions via her own observations.

Religion rises inevitably from our apprehension of our own death. To give meaning to meaninglessness is the endless quest of all religion. When death becomes the center of our consciousness, then religion authentically begins. Of all religions that I know, the one that most vehemently and persuasively defies and denies the reality of death is the original Mormonism of the Prophet, Seer and Revelator, Joseph Smith.

I called Woot out a long time ago. Econ majors are the most hard-nosed of all the social scientists.

I'm not sure how to respond to that, other than to say that I guarantee he studies cultural anthropology. There's nothing nut-casey about paleontology or human evolution.

That is a slow, hanging curve sitting right over the plate...but, I am going to resist in the spirit of being kinder and more neighborly.
