Eddie sounds on the top of his game. I saw him in Oakland in 2004 and he looked pretty rough. Still better than 95% of the other guys, but not in top form.

So, is this tour actually gonna happen?

It sucks that Mike Anthony left, they'll miss the harmonies, but Wofie seems to be holding his own. What is he, 16 years old? Not bad, kid.

They've already played a few dates and are getting great reviews. DLR was always the quintessential frontman, but his "singing" was spotty on a good day. I think they're tuned down a step and DLR sounds much better--and like he's trying to sound better--the lounge act thing is nowhere to be found. He actually remembered the second verse to Romeo Delight, and he didn't do that even back in the old days.

Mad Mike's vocals were always crucial. I've heard a rumor that they're playing them on a track...

But don't lose hope. Guitar rock is not dead. It's just not played on AM/FM anymore. You need to invest in satellite radio. And you have to hunt a little. Much of what we used to call rock is now called "alternative country".
I've been meaning to get satellite. I'm a cheap bastage though so I haven't done it yet. But FM radio is getting worse and worse, so maybe soon...

I don't own the new Smashing Pumpkins album from what I have heard it rips. And Nickelback sucks.

I've always been under the impression that a nickelback is a 5th DB used for defending against passing situations. It's a band?

I wouldn't know any of their music if it bit me on the hiney.

Satellite radio is the only way to go.

I miss DLR and his bluegrass band. Still five of the most unbelievable minutes I've ever seen on TV when he did that on Leno. Five years ago I would have bet a lot of money the EVH would be dead by now.

That was hilarious. I don't watch Leno much, but I caught that one.

That's funny. I probably see his show once or twice a year and that was one of the episodes I caught too. Hilarious.
