I could see how it could work.

Color film of course would be nice.

It has to be a different situation. It can't be a scene by scene remake.

if the characters/actors are memorable it could work.

Halloween is good for a horror flick.

I saw it when I was 9 years old and it scared the crap out of me.

We had this long hallway downstairs and for a little while at night when walking down the hallway I'd look over my shoulder to make sure Michael Myers wasn't there.

Nothing has stopped them, that's why I provided link in the post above to the trailer. Movie comes out Aug 31.
