Default Has anybody seen "American Soldiers"?

I watched it on Showtime the other night. It discussed an event in Iraq in 2004 which showed the unfortunate events of a group of soldiers traveling through various unfriendly zones.

Did it end with an alamo type stand against a large group of Iraqi insurgents? Ammo runs out and they go to knives?

Yep, that part was a bit hokey, but it is supposed to be linked to real events.

They rescue some Iraqi prisoner being tortured only to have most of the prisoners killed and most of their comrades killed. It was by no means a Best Movie of the Year flick, but it wasn't lifetime or Oprah either.

I thought it was a good portrayal of life in that kind of combat. Very unpredictable, very hard to know who you're fighting. Though the hand to hand combat looked a bit staged in that last "alamo" scene, I thought it was well done overall. My heart rate was up considerably while they were waiting for that last attack.
