Default I would like to thank Landpoke

for the discussion we have had.

As a result, today, I am a member of the Sierra Club.

You can join here as well:

I will be getting this free rucksack, so I can advertise my membership and encourage others to join me.

I might join. The rucksuck looks to be worth the $25. Plus they need some rational thinkers among their membership.

Done. I wonder if the John Birch society is giving away a free gift. I could be persuaded to join them too!

A John Muir 1892 rucksack for joining? sign me up.

The Wilderness Society's headquarters are in my office building. Defenders of Wildlife is just a block away down the street; National Geographic's headquarters across the street. I love where I work.

Oh, and the Human Rights Campaign's building is just behind us. Waters, you'd be in heaven.

Watch, that backpack is going to be like 10 inches tall when it arrives. And those leather straps are going to be vinyl!

Although my father is conservative politically, he has always been conversation minded and a naturalist at heart.

No such luck (I checked). However, I did discover the following if you're looking for a vacation destination in October.

Damn it! They sold out the Best Western! That's it - I'm not going now.

What kind of discussion can I have with you to get you to join Al Qaeda?

If you were really committed to this cause you would have joined The Nature Conservancy. You know, a group that actually does something other than bloaviate and obstruct.

But you're not so you didn't.

I've bought a couple of ties from them. That's commitment, isn't it?
