I have noticed several parallels with the Godfather and Arrested Development.

Sonny Corleone = Gob Bluth. The hot head older brother who is incapable of running the family business because of this trait
Fredo Corleone = Buster Bluth. The screw up brother who cannot in any way take over the business.
Michael Corleone = Michael Bluth. The younger brother who is the one who runs the business and keeps the family together.
Connie Corleone = Lindsey Bluth. The crazy sister who is in a screwed up marriage.

It is not perfect because Michael Corleone is the youngest brother in the Godfather, while Michael Bluth is the second brother in Arrested Development but it is still interesting.
