Default Eco-Challenge

Anyone thinking of participating?

I am really considering it, but it sure sounds like a butt-kicker. Only mountain bikes are allowed.

I am but I don't own a mountain bike and Ironman Coeur d'Alene is two weeks later. Otherwise, it sounds like lots of fun.

I hadn't even considered it, but it does sound like fun. 38 miles on a mountain bike definitely is not the same as 38 on a roadie. A mile in the pool sounds like enough to do me in.

Didn't Bronco's brother win last year, with Bronco a not so close second?

it sounds fun.

a mile swim is the easy part. A good mountain bike would not be a problem.

In fact, it would be fun to win it. Mountain bikes typically have triples, don't forget.

I've got a triple mtb. I'm still waiting for the quadruple to come out.

A hard tail XC bike with a set of 1.25 Tioga City Slickers would make it it pretty close to a road ride. I used to commute about 25 miles a day on that set up...

Kind of a pussy version of an Eco-Challenge... Where is the ropes course? The kayaking?

I think it should be called a triathlon. There isn't much eco to it at all. Paved Mt. Bike course? The race sounds brutal, but not an eco challenge.
