but thats not the reason he was exed...and i think it came out after his excommunication. he was exed for writing the 'truth' (ill let each individual define what that is) when told not to, or something quite close to that.... |

Yes, he is.
The interesting thing is that he seems to be quite friendly toward the church. I have not read too much of his work, but I have been impressed with what I have read. In the Krakauer book he was quoted as saying that he is still a "believer" and he believes in an old-testament style of prophet, i.e., the prophet has lots of shortcomings but the Lord uses him as a vessel anyway. You pretty much have to take a view like that with polygamy, etc. (sheesh, that sounds like a grapevine post) |
