Have you ever seen this image of Joseph Smith?

I've seen it before, but thought that it was a painting. Apparently it may be a copy of a daguerrotype submitted to the Library of Congress by Joseph's son.

The only thing about it that looks to be of a photographic nature is the eyes. Everything else looks very much like a painting to me. There is a little blurb below the picture that explains why the hairstyle looks so funny etc... I have no idea of the quality of the website as far as information goes, I only looked at the picture and the little bit of information below it.

... that is the only reasonably ascertained, actual photo of Joseph Smith. The daguerrotype is the size of a stamp so it gets to look out of proportion and a bit unnatural when blown up to be viewable.
