Brilliant post.

o
I never said it was some sort of eternal cosmic duty ... please don't put words in my post ... the point is justice is eternal and consequences are unavoidable ... what is the ultimate consiquence of murder in the eyes of the Lord ... has the Lord himslef condoned death as a consequence ... therefore it can be argued that a natural consequence of murder is the forfeit of one's life.

I didn't mean to words in your mouth. I was just responding to a general attitude I perceive when I listen to arguments justifying the death penalty. I still don't understand, though, how forfeiting one's life is a "natural consequence" of murder. If it is, indeed, a natural consequence, why do so many people disagree about it?

Why do so many people disagree about virtual everything in society? It is a very frightening subject, and equally confusing ... I support the death penalty and feel that it is a natural consiquence of malicious murder.

Yours is a post that reaffirms my belief in capital punishment. I've always felt that a murderer who claims to have made some sort of miraculous reformation while in prison is only trying to avoid his deserved punsihment.

Now, I would wonder if you and your family feel as if the execution made you feel any better about the loss of your loved ones; however, I'm certain that you felt that justice had finally been served.
