Archaea, you can stop reading now. For the rest of you, this summer has been a long one and here in Redding we've had temps in the low 100's everyday for a couple of weeks. You can only exercise in the early morning comfortably. The late evening is sometimes ok, but you have to endure the 90's still. I can't wait for some fall weather, with some nice 80 degree temps.

Agreed. The mornings have been very nice, but after about 10:00 it is almost unbearable. I had considered doing the Tuesday night race this week, but don't think I am interested in running in 105 degree heat.

The heat is a bit more tolerable on a bike, but not much. My last two saturday mid-day rides have been pretty miserable.

Sadly, the average day time highs for this time of year are about 90 degrees.

Winter is pretty nice in Redding. A temp like 38 is about as low as we get (we do get to freezing now and then) with the occasional snowstorm every 5 years or so. It's funny but a storm that drops 12" of snow will absolutely paralyze our city because we have no snow removal equipment.

My wife rode with Viking this past weekend and just warmed up later today. She said it's colder now in Rexsburg during the mornings than in our winter. How you ride in the winter is unknown to me.

I feel for you. Last summer in Dallas it was in the triple digits for approximately 586 days straight. I thought we had moved to Hades.

Here in Mississippi it is hovering in the mid-90s with about 327% humidity.

Their was a breeze out of the north and it was brisk. I think she was happy to have it over with so she could warm up.

If the road is clear from ice I will ride somethings when it is in the 20's. If you dress right it's not to bad. I love hot weather and the sweat pouring off me when I ride so someday I hope to move into a little warmer climate. I keep telling my youngest that when he's 19 and I drop him off in Provo and I'm just going to keep driving south and i will let him know where I stopped. My brother said you tie a snow shovel on your car and when someone asks you what that is you know you have arrived at the right place.
