Default So while I'm laid up

I began the training of my thirteen year old on weights and the nine year old on further aerobic training.

The thirteen year loved the basic bench, inclined bench, curls, french curls, declined bench, lats, leg extension, leg curls and leg presses. So he had an hour of good weights and we followed it up with a thousand crunches and one hour on the bike.

The nine year old only did two hundred crunches but he also did an hour on the bike.

It will be great to see their progress.

Any of you train your children?

Hey man, I caught glimpse of you at LVHS on Saturday, but before I could catch you from across the gym you disappeared. Your boy looked good in that BYU-Idaho shirt, though.

We were watching daughter number two on the girl's team there. She didn't get to play much, so she didn't want us there.

My youngest sister plays for Pine View, in St. George. What school do your kids attend? Green Valley?

1000 crunches? That's child abuse, brother.

Not enough? I tell A., as he will be impressed that you can do more. His goal is to bench press his weight in three months. We'll see as puberty hasn't set in yet.

N. is endurance strong but musclarly weak.

I've been waiting to start my 13 year old because he hasn't really hit puberty yet. I've always heard it's not a good idea to hit the weights until then, but I'd imagine if you're just doing light weights and high reps it's good no matter what the age.
