Default denying black men the priesthood was Doctrine not Policy

When a prophet says Thus Saith the Lord he is speaking as a prophet. These statements are considered the will of God not the prophets will or thoughts. With that said I give you the following from Brigham Young:

"Shall I tell you the law of God in regard to the African race? If the white man who belongs to the chosen seed mixes his blood with the seed of Cain, the penalty, under the law of God, is death on the spot. This will always be so".
- JoD: vol.10 p. 110: (March 8, 1863)

Not Brighams law THE LAW OF GOD. He did not say it was open to change he said that God said THIS WILL ALWAYS BE SO.

Additionally, it is beyond question that Brigham Young was a racist as this statement shows.

"It is a great blessing to the seed of Adam to have the seed of Cain [the negro race] for servants". - Brigham Young Addresses, MS d 1234, Box 48, folder 3, LDS Church Historical Dept

That this thinking led the church astray is also indisputable as you still had Mormon Apostles/ general authorities explaining the rationale behind the ban in very racist tones as late as the 60's. I think Solon or Archea posted some particularly disturbing quotes a few months back from a GA saying to give a black man a Cadillac but don't give him the priesthood.

Any way you slice it generations of Mormons lived and died believing a particulary un-Christlike thing about their fellow children of God. What blessings were denied, what sins were commited because of this false belief? If this does not qualify as leading men astray then there is nothing that would convince you otherwise.

Furthermore if we were wrong about blacks all this time why not women next?

You're new here aren't you? You may want to search the archives. We have debated this at length. Several times.
