BYU vs. Nevada 2010
Rather than bore you with the analysis of what you already know, I present you with video of a play that encapsulates not only this game, but the entire season to date.
It has been fun to watch BYU's linebackers. Not "oh wow, this good play" kind of fun. But more like, "this is so awful, it's starting to be funny" fun. Jameson Frazier is knocked over by Nevada's WR. Thrown on his butt. No he wasn't blindsided. He saw the block coming. He "met" the block and somehow the result was him landing on his butt. Need I say more? |

Here's a mind-blowing stat.
Covering 2000 through 2010, there are 1294 team-seasons (including the 2010 partial season). The 2010 team is currently 1281st in yards per completion (9.38) 1287th in yards per attempt (4.79) You would expect that with a team that is dinking-and-dunking so much you would at least trade that off with a higher completion percentage, but that simply hasn't been the case so far. BYU needs to have a minimum of 60% completions and 12 yards per completion to approach having an acceptable offensive output and they aren't even close right now.

Good job on the stats Archaea. So good that it even brought out a comment from Indy Coug. Not to mention use by Dick.

It turns out that Jameson Frazier was playing with a thumb he broke during the first quarter of the game, on a hand that was already in a cast.
http://www.sltrib.com/sltrib/blogs/b...legal.html.csp That doesn't excuse getting decleated by a WR. Rather it makes me question why he was even playing at all. |
