The SEC would NEVER take Houston. A&M is 100 times more popular in Houston than UH is. SEC already took Houston when they added A&M.

These talking heads, they just sit in Bristol, or on the west coast, and they literally understand zero about these flyover states.

He gave a wonderful fireside last night.

I asked him during the Q&A session about the Big 12. He said BYU's chances are "not good." But he then explained that cable is moving towards more defined products streamed online and that's going to help BYU because of BYU's national following.

The explanation didn't match the answer, so I think he might have misspoke.

He also said that Florida State uses a GPS tracking system to measure where players run during practice and how much can handle, and thereby reduced soft-tissue injuries by 90% (?). BYU currently only uses heart-rate monitors. BYU gives stress-tests to players on their players to measure their maximum heart rate, then takes their blood sample afterwards.

His answer need not be interpreted as not making sense. He may be saing BYU won't get into the Big 12 (for reasons unspecified). But then also saying that the financial picture long-term for BYU is not bad because of the deals it can cut (which I don't agree with).
