With all these negative numbers on CG, no wonder they thinkg it's an apostate board.
The general attitude of those in the negatives: Social: Live and let live. We shouldn't be controlling what people do. Economic: We must control the economy. People are too dumb to be responsible for themselves this way. We must "take care" of people who do stupid things to cause themselves grief. Seriously though, the dichotomy of both parties on social vs. economic has always been puzzling to me. You'd think "conservatives" would be Libertarian and Libs would be Authoritarian given their respective views on the role of government. |
